postpartum day care
After giving birth, a new mother must spend her day resting, eating, and learning her baby as her baby learns her. As a daytime postpartum doula, I ensure the health of the household so that the mother can heal and the experience her authentic postpartum bubble. Care depends on what is needed, and often includes:
Caring for the mother, giving her time to recuperate
Snuggling baby while parents catch a nap, cooking nutrition-dense postpartum foods and preparing sitz baths for mama
Assisting with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, and soothing techniques
Offering encouragement for parents' intuitive care
Offering tips for infant care and feeding, as well as basic breastfeeding support
Light housekeeping, running errands, baby's laundry, etc.
A foot massage :)
An empathetic and experienced presence during emotional recovery
Providing referrals when needed
Hours & Fees

postpartum night care
Overnight doula support gives new parents those hours of sleep they need to function smoothly during the day. I stay with baby through the night, soothing her so that she gets more and more accustomed to nocturnal sleeping. At feeding times, I bring baby to mama (bringing mama a snack and drink) or bottle feed. I take care of all diapering, burping, and soothing so that new parents can sleep.
